About the appointment system

Why We Use a First-Come, First-Served System (And Why Appointments Still Matter)

We understand that waiting can be frustrating, and we truly appreciate your patience and understanding. Our clinic follows a first-come, first-served system to ensure fairness, especially on days when the schedule becomes unpredictable. Here’s why this system is in place—and why having an appointment still matters:

Why First-Come, First-Served?

Some Consultations Take Longer: Some patients, especially first-timers or those with complex concerns, may need more than the usual time. We don’t rush these discussions because every patient deserves careful, unrushed attention.

Unpredictable Clinic Start Times: Occasionally, due to hospital rounds, procedures, or emergencies, I may arrive later than scheduled. This system allows us to see patients fairly once the clinic begins.

Urgent Cases: Sometimes we need to accommodate time-sensitive or emergency cases, which may disrupt the original order. We do our best to balance urgency with fairness.

If It’s First-Come, First-Served, Why Do I Need an Appointment?

Your Appointment Puts You on Our List: Having an appointment means we’re expecting you. If you’re running late, we know to wait for you (within reasonable limits), instead of assuming you’re not coming.

We Can Contact You for Changes or Cancellations: Having your name on the list allows us to inform you in advance if the clinic is delayed, rescheduled, or canceled.

It Helps Us Prepare: Appointments help us anticipate how many patients we need to see and plan accordingly.

While we try our best to wait for everyone with appointments and accommodate everyone fairly, we kindly ask for your understanding when delays or adjustments are needed. Thank you for working with us to keep the clinic running smoothly.

Filipino Version

Bakit First-Come, First-Served ang Clinic?

Bakit First-Come, First-Served?
